Independiente will receive a compensation for its World Cup 2026 called players. According to TyC Sports, the club of Avellaneda will receive a daily compensation for each of its players called up to the tournament. Gabriel Ávalos, called by Paraguay under the orders of Gustavo Alfaro, will generate an income of $10,900 per day for the club from the delivery of the list of good faith until the return of the forward. For Santiago Arias, called by Colombia of Néstor Lorenzo, the amount is $2,725 per day, equivalent to 25% of the total amount calculated based on the last 24 months. The compensation will start running from the day when the selections present their lists of good faith to FIFA and will extend until each player returns to their club once their participation in the tournament is finished. The more Paraguay and Colombia advance in the World Cup, the more days Independiente will receive for its called players.
